Proposed amalgamation:
The boards of directors of both IPAC Edmonton and IPAC Calgary wish to call a vote of members to amalgamate the organizations into one provincial IPAC regional group called IPAC Alberta. At its Annual General Meeting on June 28, members of IPAC Edmonton will vote on the amalgamation. Members of IPAC Calgary will vote separately. Over the last 3 years, both organizations have seen an erosion in their ability to engage members and provide value. The purpose of the amalgamation is to create a stronger Alberta regional group with the resources needed to remain active, vibrant, and relevant as well as to continue to offer value for membership. Both boards of IPAC Edmonton and IPAC Calgary support the amalgamation. IPAC National also supports the amalgamation.
Be it resolved that members of the IPAC Edmonton Regional Group agree to merge IPAC Edmonton Regional Group with IPAC Calgary Regional Group to form IPAC Alberta Regional Group.
