About the event
This interactive workshop will involve up to 50 participants drawn from various orders of government and the nonprofit sector. Participants will work with professional facilitators to unpack the following question:
If governments can, for example, purchase the replacement of a bridge by a for-profit construction company, a financial study by an for-profit accounting firm, new transit buses by a for-profit manufacturer, why can they not purchase social outcomes from established non-profits such as reduced incarceration rates, lower incidence of diet-related disease or family reunification?
Please note: This session reaches into the noon hour, and participants are encouraged to make their own lunch plans afterward. Lunch will not be provided.
This event is $25 for IPAC members and $50 for non-members.
