Awards

IPAC Edmonton offers a number of awards open to public servants across Alberta.

As a long established, professional organization, IPAC is dedicated to supporting those with a shared commitment to build excellence in public administration. A major component of this commitment is the recognition of public servants. 

 

The IPAC Edmonton Awards aim to wholeheartedly celebrate public servants and public service through meaningful awards that highlight achievement and contribution from public servants at various stages of their careers.

Award for Administrative Professional Excellence

This award is open to administrative professionals with more than two years of public sector experience.  These are the people who keep everything running smoothly, and who keep everyone else organized.

New Public Servant Award for Emerging Excellence

For new public servants with two or less years of experience in the public sector. This award is intended for those new colleagues who inspire with their eagerness to learn and take on challenges.

New Public Servant Award for Excellence

This award is for public servants with more than two, and up to five years of experience in the public sector. It recognizes those colleagues who are beginning to make a difference in the public sector

Award for Operations Excellence

For public servants with more than five years of experience who have demonstrated excellence in operations. This award recognizes talented service delivery professionals who provide services with enthusiasm, professionalism and compassion.

Award for Policy Excellence

For public servants with more than five years of experience who have demonstrated excellence in policy. This award recognizes diligent policy professionals who have mastered the art of providing insightful and helpful policy advice.

Award for Innovative Management

This award is for public servant teams that have shown novel approaches to addressing public issues and/or delivering public services. 

Award for Public Sector Analysis and Research (New for 2021)

For public servant teams that have provided policy-relevant and rigorous analysis, research or evaluation. This award recognizes groups that have worked together to develop thoughtful, rigorous and useful policy research that helps with understanding complex issues.

Lieutenant Governor's Award 

For public servants who have demonstrated sustained impact across a career in the public service. This award recognizes outstanding individuals who have dedicated their lives to the service of the public. 

This award will be next offered in 2022.
