The IPAC Edmonton Regional Group (ERG) is seeking to recruit members with the following qualities as Board of Directors for the 2021-2022 year:
strong leadership and systems thinking capacity;
ability to build collaborative environments;
knowledge and/or experience with community engagement and outreach;
network building and strong interpersonal skills;
knowledge and/or experience with event management;
interest to share your talents in a volunteer capacity.
Enthusiastic, well-networked leaders who fill the role of a Director on the Board will have the option to support any of the initiatives that the Edmonton Regional Group undertakes.
In addition to seeking to fill several director positions, IPAC-Edmonton Region this year is seeking a volunteer to serve as a Co-Director for the Communications Portfolio.
Communications Portfolio Co-Directors are responsible for the management of the overall branding and messaging of IPAC ERG. This involves managing the communications, marketing, promotion and engagement strategies to ensure that membership, stakeholders and the Board are connected to the vision and activities of the organization. In addition to the qualities sought for Directors, the Communications Co-Directors will have:
experience with public relations, promotion, marketing and engagement strategies;
an understanding of digital communications and multimedia;
knowledge and/or experience with graphic design and website management; and
strong relationship building, written and verbal communication skills
The Co-Directors will work in tandem, supporting a communications focus to increase the capacity of the public service in Alberta.
